Before you call
Have the traveler’s name, booking reference, current itinerary and preferred new dates or flights available. Flexibility can help when the original fare class is no longer available.
Possible costs
A change may involve a fare difference, airline penalty, tax adjustment or previously disclosed agency service fee. We explain the known total before asking you to authorize a change. Availability and price are not guaranteed until the exchange or reissue is completed.
Airline schedule changes
If the airline changed your itinerary, available alternatives may be different from a voluntary change. Tell the specialist what notification you received so the applicable carrier options can be reviewed.
Airport and travel-day changes
Same-day standby, checked baggage, boarding and airport operations are controlled by the operating airline. If departure is close, also review the airline’s official travel alerts and airport guidance.
